This course offers First Aid and CPR training for when access to medical care is delayed. It is well suited for individuals who tend to work or play in semi-remote backcountry settings. Learn how to identify common backcountry problems as serious vs not serious. Additionally, gain the confidence to make decisions and take action to help yourself and others in an emergency.

By the end of this course, you'll earn a 3-year wilderness first aid certification, which includes such skills as CPR/AED training for adults, children, and infants, and a CA layperson Epinephrine certification. This course includes everything from a CPR first-aid course, but has a specialized focus on environmental considerations and wound care. It's perfect for people who love to spend time outdoors or spend any time travelling or playing far from medical care.

Cancellation Policy:

30 days or more prior to Day 1 of your course: Cancellations or transfer requests will be subject to a $75 processing fee, per registration.
15 days to 30 days prior to Day 1: 50% tuition refund or transfer credit. Transfer credits must be used within 12 months of the original course.
14 days or less prior to Day 1 (or no-show): No refund available*
On the rare occasion where a Gut-Z Journey cancels a course (for some unforeseen reason) sponsors and students will qualify for a full refund.
